NCCU Dominates Rival NC A&T in 62–20 Victory
Greensboro, N.C. — North Carolina Central turned its annual rivalry with North Carolina A&T into a showcase on Saturday, overwhelming the Aggies 62–20 before a packed crowd at Truist Stadium.
The Eagles (3–2) set the tone immediately when running back Chris Mosley sprinted 53 yards for a touchdown on the game’s second play. Mosley went on to deliver one of the most remarkable performances in program history, finishing with 258 all-purpose yards and five total touchdowns — three rushing and two receiving.
Quarterback Walker Harris efficiently directed the offense, completing 22 of 29 passes for 380 yards and three touchdowns, while running back Arthur Rodgers added 129 rushing yards and two scores. In all, NCCU piled up nearly 750 yards of total offense, the most in school history.
Defensively, the Eagles smothered the Aggies (1–3), limiting them to 294 total yards and just 42 on the ground. The pressure produced four sacks and two safeties in the first quarter alone, putting the game out of reach before halftime.
North Carolina A&T’s lone highlight came on a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown by Tim Alderman in the third quarter, but by then the deficit had already ballooned.
